Kabali Story
Kabali is a Tamil action-drama film starring superstar detective Nikal. The story of the film revolves around the life of a natural Kabaleeswaran Nikal, who fights for the rights of Tamil extremists in Malaysia. Kabali was once the leader of a powerful gang who fights to bring respect to Tamil people in society.

I am a huge Rajinikanth fan. When I first saw Kabali in the theatres, I didn’t like it very much. Maybe my expectations were different or I didn’t understand the message of the film at that time. But later when I watched it on Hotstar, I don’t know why, this time I felt a connection with the film. I watched the entire film without stopping and felt that the director has done a really great job.
Pa. Ranjith, the director of the film, has a special sensitivity that presents emotions very effectively. We also see this specialty of his in his other film Sarpatta Parampara, where he showed struggle, culture and emotion very effectively.
If you think Kabali is just a gangster story, think again. This film talks about social messages, identity, and self-respect. If Rajinikanth was not in it, then perhaps the film would have received a different kind of appreciation. But it won’t be wrong to say that Rajinikanth’s performance is always special, and he has brought life to this role as well.
The music and camera work make the film even better. If you have time and want to watch a meaningful film, then definitely watch Kabali. It is not just an entertainer but also a thought-provoking film.
On the other hand, the response of some viewers has also been negative. A viewer Jayshreeela Seshu made very sharp and personal comments about the film. She made some serious allegations while remembering the late actress Jayalakshmi (Fatafat). She believes that Rajinikanth, whose real name is Shivaji Gaikwad, did wrong to the soul of the actress and harmed her with black magic. These allegations are completely unverified and based on superstition, which have no concrete confirmation.
She also called the title of the film “Kabali” an insult to Lord Shiva and severely criticized Rajinikanth. This is an extremely emotional and personal opinion, in which an attempt has been made to harm the image of the film and the actor by adding religious sentiments.
Such reactions may be based on one’s personal feelings, but they are not directly related to the artistry and presentation of the film. Films are a medium of art and it is more appropriate to evaluate them neutrally.
