Jailer story
Muthuvel Pandian, known to all as Muthu (Rajinikanth), was an honest and strict jailer. After retirement, he is leading a quiet and simple life with his family. Muthu’s son Arjun (Vasanth Ravi) is a dutiful police officer who does his job with utmost sincerity.
Arjun begins an investigation against a dangerous criminal named Varma (Vinayakn). Varma is a big smuggler who deals in illegal trade of ancient idols and valuables stolen from temples. Arjun’s actions do not go down well with Varma and a confrontation ensues between the two.
One day Arjun suddenly disappears. The police department is in a state of panic and Muthu learns that Arjun has been murdered. Muthu is devastated to hear this news, but he regains his composure and sets out to avenge his son’s death. He starts killing the members of Varma’s gang one by one.
During this bloody journey, Muthu learns a shocking truth—Arjun is not dead but is on a special mission and everything was part of a conspiracy. Knowing this changes Muthu’s path.
