Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Story
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire begins three years after the events of Godzilla vs. Kong. Kong has now established a new territory for himself in the Hollow Earth and is searching for other members of his species. On Earth, Godzilla is busy maintaining balance among the Titans.
One day an unknown signal is activated in the Hollow Earth, causing a girl named Jiya—the last survivor of the Iwi tribe on Skull Island—to have mysterious visions and hallucinations. This worries her adoptive mother and MONARCH scientist Dr. Ilene Andrews. Godzilla senses the signal and absorbs radiation from a French nuclear plant to power himself.
Meanwhile, Kong meets a young member of his own species named “Suko” in an uncharted territory and the two become friends. Later, they meet the Scar King, a giant ape with a dictatorial streak who controls the ice-breathing Titan Shimo. The Scar King’s goal is to take over the Earth’s surface.
In the film’s climax, Godzilla, Kong, Mothra, and Suko join forces to fight the Scar King and Shimo. Shimo is eventually freed and helps destroy the Scar King.
The film ends with Godzilla resting back in the Colosseum, while Kong becomes the leader of his community in the Hollow Earth and peace is returned.
Movie Review
This movie was a real blast! Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire felt like it had the spirit of God of War and Dragon Ball in it. Kong and Suko’s relationship felt very much like Kratos and Atreus—a master and disciple, father and son bonding that brought a new freshness to the movie. And then the final fight, wow! The animators and VFX team went crazy. Every punch, every movement, and every energy blast felt like an epic fight from DBZ, but on a much higher level!
If a fight sequence like this were to appear as the final boss fight in an upcoming Sonic game, that game would be memorable. The villain “Skar King” in this movie was also awesome—very dangerous, unyielding, and intimidating. His attitude was like “I am not afraid of anyone, no matter what”. But eventually, the old OGs (Godzilla and Kong) and new allies (Shimo and Suko) teach him a lesson that was worth watching.
The story, the action and the acting—all cooked to perfection! Jia’s character was also great. Her hearing disability was shown as a strength, not a weakness. And now it seems like she has superpowers too! It shows that no limitation can be a hindrance to becoming a hero.
On the other hand, Suraj Mahat’s opinion about this film is also accurate. He said that this film is the biggest clash between two great monsters, and it completely lives up to its promise. The film is a great amalgamation of thrill, action and visuals from start to finish. The human characters—the team of scientists and a girl like Jia—added emotional depth to the story.
The VFX work was so good that Godzilla and Kong looked absolutely real. The fight scenes were so well choreographed that every moment was spine-chilling.
What’s special about this film is that the audience sometimes cheers for Godzilla, and sometimes for Kong. There is an emotional bond between the two, which makes the final battle even more effective and satisfying.
Overall, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is a powerful and memorable film that delivers on the promise of an epic monster showdown. Whether you are a fan of Godzilla and Kong, or just want to watch a great action film—this film is a must-watch.
Rating: 10/10 — A mega-epic experience for family, friends and everyone!
