Dune: Part Two Story
The story of “Dune: Part Two” begins where the first film ended. Paul Atreides and his mother Lady Jessica are preparing to take revenge on House Harkonnen by joining forces with the Fremen tribe on the desert planet Arrakis. Some Fremen see her as a messiah, while others view her with suspicion. Lady Jessica takes the place of the dying Reverend Mother of the Sith Tabr and drinks the “Water of Life”, which grants her the memories of her ancestors. The mystical waters also expose her unborn daughter, Alia.
Paul adopts Fremen culture—learning their language, riding a sandworm, and attacking spice production. Meanwhile, Harkonnen’s ruthless successor, Feyd-Rautha, rises to power. Paul sees a vision of a holy war in his future which he fears, but when the Harkonnen attack the Fremen, he changes his view.
Paul drinks the “Water of Life” and receives a vision. He declares himself “Leisan al-Gaib” and challenges Emperor Shaddam IV. In the final battle, Paul defeats the Harkonnen, captures the Emperor, and marries Princess Irulan. However, Chani is unhappy with this decision and departs alone.
