Saaho Story
Saaho is an action-thriller film, the story of which is set in a fictitious city called Waji City. This city is ruled by a powerful industrialist and mafia don, Narantak Roy. He dies mysteriously in an accident, which leads to a power struggle in the city. His son, Vishal, was hidden from the world—Vishwak Roy, who is declared as Roy’s successor.
Meanwhile, a theft of ₹2000 crore takes place in Mumbai. To investigate this, undercover police officer Ashok Chakravarthy is appointed, who along with Amrita Nair and other officers, searches for the thief. But a major twist comes when it is revealed that the real Ashok is someone else, and the person in the team is actually a master thief named Saaho.
Saaho dodges the police with the help of his partner David. Later in the story, love blossoms between Saaho and Amrita, but incidents full of deception, mystery and power struggle break them apart many times.
At the end of the film, Saaho reveals his true identity as Siddhant Nandan Saaho, the real son of Narantak Roy. He avenges his father’s death and becomes the new ruler of Waji City.
The story is packed with high-octane action, twists, and grand locations along with heavy use of VFX to leave the audience thrilled.
Movie Review
Saaho is an experience that will thrill every action-lover. Though many critics may call the story weak, the fact is that the scale on which the film has been made is a matter of pride for Indian cinema. Audiences consider it not just a film but a visual fest.
Prabhas has once again proved that he is not just an actor but a complete cinematic experience. After Bahubali, he played his character Saaho as if he is a superhero from that world – smart, mysterious and surprising at every turn. The action scenes are shot so well that it feels like we are watching a Hollywood film but with Indian emotions and culture.
Shraddha Kapoor has beautifully portrayed the innocence, intelligence and bravery in her character. Her and Prabhas’ chemistry looks very cute and fresh on screen. Shraddha’s acting has always been impressive and in this film too, she has given a new energy.
The supporting cast like Arun Vijay, Chunky Pandey, Murali Sharma, and Mandira Bedi bring life to their characters. Mandira Bedi’s role was small but the intensity in her eyes and expressions impressed the audience. Chunky Pandey has created a new identity as a villain.
The music of the film is another big strength. Composers like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Tanishk Bagchi, Guru Randhawa and Badshah have created an album that leaves an impact in every language—Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The songs are not only beautiful but also maintain the pace of the film.
Director Sujeeth may be young but the way he has handled such a big project is commendable. The twists and turns keep the audience hooked and the climax of the film ends with a tremendous revelation, which takes the film to another level.
Verses from the Bhagavad Gita have also been used in the film, which further increases its depth and emotional connection.
