Bhaje Vaayu Vegam Story
Bhaje Vayu Vegam is a Telugu action thriller film starring Karthikeya in the lead role. The story of the film revolves around two brothers, Venkat (Karthikeya) and Raju (Rahul Tyson), who are sons of a poor farmer (Tanikella Bharani). They come to the city to fulfil their dreams – to become a cricketer and a software engineer. But circumstances don’t go their way, and they are cheated.
Venkat loses his savings in IPL betting. Angered by this betrayal, he and his brother steal the car of a mafia don David (Ravi Shankar). The secrets hidden in this car fill the story of the film with thrill. What is in the car? Who is behind David and the mafia? And how Venkat saves his father and brother – this is the main essence of the film.
The film’s biggest strength is its twists and turns, especially in the second half, which keep the audience captivated. Karthikeya brings life to the role of a risk-taking youngster. Ravi Shankar impresses as a strong villain, and Rahul Tyson’s comeback is also commendable.
Though the beginning is a bit slow and the heroine track looks weak, director Prashanth Reddy has presented a simple story smartly. The screenplay of the film is exciting and the BGM is superb. Overall, it is an entertaining masala film which you can watch once with the family.
Movie Review
Bhaje Vayu Vegam is a film whose screenplay can be appreciated as it keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. There is a suspense and thrill in every scene, which compels the audience to watch the entire film in one go. But the sad part is that the entire story seems to be a “ready made” fictional creation beyond common sense and logic.
The writer and director of the film have not only done injustice to themselves but also misused the talent of the lead actor Karthikeya (RX100 fame) and debutante actress Iswarya Menon. There is an attempt to present Iswarya Menon like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which may harm her career. The idea of making a cricketer and a valet driver indulge in such low level antics – only in the name of saving the life of their ailing father – neither connects emotionally, nor seems logically correct.
Another unbelievable twist in the film comes when it is suddenly revealed that Karthikeya is not actually the son of the farmer but his adopted son. This twist not only doesn’t fit in with the story but also confuses the audience. It seems that the director has fabricated this lie just to shock and there is no solid basis for it.
It is extremely disappointing that such clumsy experiments are being done on struggling actors and stars who are working hard for their existence in Tollywood. The director has not only damaged the image of a talented actor like Karthikeya but has also made the film unbelievable. He has cast him in a character who is involved in illegal businesses like cricket betting and who crosses all limits of morality and honesty to make quick money.
It is beyond comprehension that a person would stoop to such a low level to treat his father, and that too when the father shown in the film is never seen to be ill. This contradiction further weakens the story.
This reviewer is of the clear opinion that the director will hardly get a chance for the next film. If by some miracle he gets a next film, then he will be very lucky indeed.

Conclusion
Bhaje Vayu Vegam comes across as a fast-paced thriller, but its story and presentation lack logic. The film has some good twists, acting and technical aspects are commendable, but unbelievable developments and weak screenplay disappoint the audience. The abilities of talented actors like Karthikeya and Iswarya Menon have not been utilized properly. The director tried to forcefully complicate a simple story, which reduced the impact of the film. Overall, this film can be watched once, but expecting more would be futile.
